This video aims to explore the limitations that exist within the culture of Nudity in the Visual Arts. It explores the brief history, the art community in the Philippines, as well as how certain limitations and guidelines exist for the different stakeholders of Nude art — the artists, the models and the viewers.
There has always been constant debate over nudity in art. This art form has been accepted and rejected by different cultures and prominent governing bodies throughout each period in art history. The moral debate of nudity in art still exists even today. However, regardless of the opinion on nudity, an enlightened audience is still an empowered one. At the end of the day, differing opinions will still better a community.
